Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Bag Machine Operator for night shift to safely run and maintain bag lines, delivering high-quality products with minimal scrap. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and lifting boxes around 70–75 pounds from packers’ conveyors.

The position requires reading tape measurements, basic computer skills, and a willingness to support maintenance, quality, and operators to optimize line performance. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret standard measuring tapes.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Key Operating Procedures.
• Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality.
• Pack all bags into boxes, cap, and apply tubes as needed, helicalinsertion, and apply splice tape on helical bags and two-out machines, from a standing position with breaks every two hours.
• Ensure that box and tote counts are accurate as per bag specification.
• Push boxes of bags (approximately 70 to 75 pounds) from packers’ conveyor to box conveyor.
• Report suspect or defective product to Shift Leader for destruction or hold for Quality Facilitator review.
• Work as a team member to accomplish production goals; assist and clean machines and PMs.
