The University of Georgia is seeking a part-time night auditor in Athens to perform end-of-day closing, audit daily transactions, run reports, verify payments, and prepare the daily shift worksheet.
You will serve as manager on duty, handle guest services including check-in/check-out and reservations, answer calls, and support safety procedures while attending meetings and trainings as needed.
The part‑time night auditor will perform an audit of the business day’s transactions. Duties include running all daily reports and checking for accuracy, auditing all payment types, completing all end‑of‑day reports, rolling the date to the next business day, checking in and checking out guests, making and confirming reservations, answering all telephone calls and responding to guest requests, serving as manager on duty, entering maintenance work orders, preparing the daily shift report, and attending meetings and training sessions. The night auditor will also learn the hotel’s fire, health, and safety regulations and be ready to implement these policies and procedures when needed.
Type: Temporary employee. Schedule: Part‑time, maximum 16 hours per week (shift 11 pm–7 am). Hours are not guaranteed; may vary week to week and include weekends and holidays. Location: Athens Area. Start Date: 05/27/2021. Salary: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Stand or sit at a desk for extended periods, use computer and/or phone, walk and climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
Position is a trust position and has access to, control of, or operation of financial resources.
