Job summary

Olympia Hospitality in Westlake, Ohio is seeking an experienced Night Auditor for overnight shifts (10pm-6am or 11pm-7am). This part-time role involves guest services, reservation sales, account handling, and reporting duties to support accurate financials and guest satisfaction.

You’ll cross-train in hotel operations while maintaining strong attention to detail and compliance. Health, retirement, and time-off benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge/experience of accounting principles.
  • Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with check-in/check-out and reservations in a friendly, accurate manner.
  • Process daily guest accounts and billing with attention to detail.
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports (e.g., Daily Operating Report).
  • Prepare month-end reports and ensure timely data transmission.
  • Reconcile and transmit all credit card transactions timely.
  • Maintain data accuracy and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Use hotel systems and MS Office tools to support operations.
  • Respond to inquiries and keep management informed of anomalies.

The Night Auditor maximizes revenue and creates value by providing excellent customer service. This includes effective reservation sales, handling all guest accounts efficiently and accurately, and assisting in all phases of guest experience such as check-in, check-out, and problem resolution.

This is an overnight shift with hours ranging from 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am.

PART - TIME (2 days a week) with flexibility to cover additional days when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must be willing to cross train in other accounting or hotel‑related areas.
  • Perform guest services functions as required (i.e. check guests in/out, take reservations, we‑up calls, etc.).
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports as required (i.e., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports, etc.) according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare and distribute month‑end reports.
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
  • Prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required.
  • Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
  • Respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt.
Skills Required
  • Provide high level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure, proficiency in keyboarding and computer technology, i.e. e-mail, MS Word, Excel, & other hotel related systems, aptitude with numbers/data analysis.
Experience / Education
  • Knowledge/experience of accounting principles; prior customer service/hospitality experience is preferred; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
