Job Description Summary: The Night Auditor (NA) is responsible for accurately balancing all hotel income and expenses for each 24-hour operating period. The NA also acts as a Guest Service Agent for the overnight front desk shift. The role involves delivering excellent service, managing hotel system issues, and supporting hotel operations during the night.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to standards.
2. Balance and audit revenue streams and prepare relevant reports.
3. Balance and audit tax charges, cashier reports, and guest accounts.
4. Complete and transmit daily management reports with supporting documentation.
5. Assist in setup of breakfast service and hotel laundry operations.
6. Act as security contact during shifts.
7. Resolve accounting discrepancies and communicate with management.
8. Register guests, issue keys, and provide hotel information.
9. Process transactions accurately and securely.
10. Book reservations, process cancellations, and upsell rooms.
11. Follow reservation strategies and promote teamwork.
12. Service hotel shop and bar, ensuring legal compliance.
13. Fulfill guest requests and manage guest safes.
14. Comply with health, safety, and alcohol laws.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English; other languages beneficial.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours including holidays.
• Obtain ServSafe and possibly TIPS certifications.
