Job summary

Hampton Inn Portsmouth Downtown, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking a friendly Night Auditor to join our team in Portsmouth, NH. This overnight role balances hotel transactions, closes the day, and responds to guest needs while ensuring a clean front desk area.

Responsibilities include front desk operations, end-of-day posting and balancing, and delivering exceptional guest service. Experience in hospitality and proficiency with MS Office and PMS software are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience, hotel preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to deal with difficult guests.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common computer software programs, and PMS software.

Responsibilities

• Operate the front desk and assist guests with inquiries and other needs during pre-arrival, registration, stay, checkout and post-departure.
• Complete end of day activities including posting charges to accounts, balancing ledgers, run night audit/daily close, back-up and roll date.
• Provide exceptional guest service and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Maintain lobby and front desk area neat and orderly.
• Adhere to Colwen and brand standards; maintain strict key controls.
