Job summary

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is seeking a Night Auditor to greet guests, check in and out, and ensure accurate daily financial reporting. You will audit revenue, balance ledgers, and generate front-office reports while supporting guest services and hotel operations.

Hospitality experience is preferred, with an emphasis on accuracy, comfort with technology, and the ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality experience preferred.
• Balance daily hotel totals and revenue while maintaining accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred and Microsoft Office experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check guests in/out, respond to questions and requests.
• Prepare and audit daily revenue reports and balance accounts.
• Run front-office audit reports from Micros and other systems; input data for daily summaries.
• Balance revenue and settlements; keep files organized for next day.
• Answer phones professionally and communicate guest needs to the team.
• Follow policies, attend meetings, and assist manager as needed.

What will you be doing?

Greet and welcome guests, check guests in and out, respond to guest requests and needs and answer any questions, providing accurate and appropriate information to guests and customers.

Prepare daily restaurant revenue report data by auditing Micros tapes/ journals to breakdown revenue, covers, and servers fees, tips paid out and settlements by tape and cashier.
Run audit reports/ journals from the Front office mainframe, the micros computer, and Credit Card system.

Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout shift. Input on the PC revenue/ expenses/ allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger summer and Daily restaurant summary.

Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.

Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the Front Office Manager and Night Manager based upon department needs.

Promptly answer telephone in a professional and clear manner. Input all information into computers to communicate guest requests and complaints.

Follow all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, Marriott Standards, and Information Protection procedures.

Attend all scheduled mandatory Guest Services Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.

What you will bring to the role?

Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10- key by touch.

High school diploma or equivalent required, prior hospitality experience preferred.

Balance work daily totals of hotel.

Microsoft Office Experience, Excel is highly preferred.

Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to produce high quality accurate work consistently and on time.

Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.

Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
