Job summary

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Cashier Clerk to join its accounting team in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will manage Birchstreet PO/invoice reconciliation, process AP items (invoices, check requests, expense reports), and verify cash deposits while maintaining vendor records and bank contracts.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in business or accounting and 2+ years in AP, with strong Excel skills and meticulous numbers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable position (preferred).
• Strong PC/typing skills and excellent numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and ability to use other programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Birchstreet purchase orders and invoice reconciliation.
• Process regular and Food & Beverage invoices, check requests, and expense reports.
• Maintain all AP files including vendors, expense reports, and check requests.
• Verify daily cash drops and process deposits.
• Assist with associate bank audits and bank contracts.
• Code and stamp invoices, check requests, and expense reports for payment.

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in search of a detailed oriented and timely candidate to join our accounting team as the Accounts Payable and Cashier Clerk! What will you be doing?

• Maintains Birchstreet purchase orders and invoice reconciliation system
• Processes all regular and Food & Beverage invoices, check requests, and expense reports for the hotel.
• Maintains all a/p files with regards to new vendors, expense reports, and check requests.
• Verify daily cash drops and process daily cash deposits
• Associate bank audits.
• Assign associate banks and maintain bank contracts.
• Stamps and codes all invoices, check requests, and expense reports for payment.

What you will bring to the role?

• Associates degree in business or accounting and/or at least 2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable position preferred.
• Meet strict time deadlines.
• Strong PC/typing skills.
• Strong accuracy with numbers and expense coding a must.
• Strong Computer literacy needed, extensive Excel knowledge and ability to understand and use other computer programs a must.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
