Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling management reports timely, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. They communicate concerns to management and perform guest service duties such as check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions.
• Be willing to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Perform guest services including check-in/out, reservations, and phone calls.
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare and distribute daily and monthly reports as per hotel standards.
• Audit and reconcile Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work.
• Process credit card transactions promptly.
• Ensure accuracy in all reported numbers and statistics.
• Update financial information into the corporate network.
• Perform required data processing functions regularly.
• Report any operational or financial anomalies to management.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
• Respond to governmental inquiries and guest requests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Guest service experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in computer skills required.
