Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling management reports promptly, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. They will communicate issues to management and perform guest service duties such as check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations.

Responsibilities
  1. Understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic.
  2. Cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
  3. Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  4. Perform guest services including check-in/out, reservations, and call handling.
  5. Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  6. Prepare and distribute daily and monthly reports.
  7. Audit and reconcile cashier work at front desk and F&B.
  8. Consolidate and transmit credit card transactions timely.
  9. Ensure accuracy of all reported data.
  10. Update financial information in corporate systems.
  11. Perform data processing functions as needed.
  12. Report operational or financial issues to management.
  13. Maintain guest satisfaction.
  14. Respond to governmental inquiries and guest requests.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hotel or related field preferred.
  2. Guest service experience preferred.
  3. Computer skills required.
  4. Flexibility for long and late hours.
  5. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  6. Ability to work late/overnight shifts.
  7. Maintain a friendly demeanor at all times.
  8. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  10. Attend required meetings and training.
  11. Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards.
  12. Comply with hotel standards and regulations.
  13. Identify and help implement productivity improvements.
