Job Description

Reports To: Night Manager/Front Office Manager

General Purpose: Audit, balance, and report on various hotel areas (e.g., food and beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop) to ensure accuracy, compliance with policies, and prevent fraud.

Job Responsibilities

• Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets' cash and credit operations, including checks, deposits, house charges, and postings, resetting registers for accuracy.
• Audit, balance, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, folios, corrections, and deposits to ensure proper cash handling.
• Audit, balance, and report on room information to monitor performance.
• Prepare and input daily statistics and income reports.
• Balance and close all bank ticket codes.
• Run the night audit final to ensure all revenues are balanced nightly.
• Perform duties of a Front Desk Agent/Bellman, including check-ins and check-outs.
• Compile guest email addresses for comment cards and market research.
• Track guest issues and compile a daily 'Flash Report' for staff.
• Supervise 3rd shift staff, including contracted security.
• Attend quarterly night staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Accounting background preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with computers, cash registers, and calculators.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
• Moderate hearing for communication with guests.
• Good vision for viewing screens.
• Ability to lift files up to 5 lbs. and luggage up to 50 lbs.
• Mobility to move around the hotel.
• No continuous standing, climbing, or driving required.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
