Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - North Shore Conference Center is seeking a Night Auditor to balance and post nightly transactions, audit front desk and rooms cash/credit activity, and ensure accurate reporting. This role suits a detail-oriented, customer-focused night person who thrives in a quiet overnight setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in night auditing, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and familiarity with hotel software (OnQ, Opera, Lightspeed).

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of night auditing in a luxury hotel environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel software platforms.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a bonus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Cash handling and currency at night.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance, post, and report front desk, rooms, and all food and beverage cash/credit operations.
• Reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and smooth operations.
• Oversee cash handling for all outlets during night shift.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk, rooms, and all food and beverage outlets’ cash and credit operations and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management.

Requirements:

• Prior 1-2+ years' night auditing in a brand or luxury hotel environment is ideal
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field is a plus
• Be a member of our ROCKSTAR night TEAM
• Must be 18+ years of age
• Strong knowledge of software applications is beneficial, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (OnQ, Opera, Fosse, Lightspeed, HotSOS, GXP, BOB, Kipsu, Slack)
• Strong communication and listening skills and excellent speaking, reading, and writing ability
• Fluency in English: additional languages preferred. Spanish language skills are highly desired
• Handle cash, coins, and currency at night
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills

$18.00 per hour
