Job summary

Hotel Equities in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a dependable Night Auditor to join our team. You will welcome guests, process arrivals and payments, and ensure accurate records while supporting smooth nightly operations.

This role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. We offer competitive pay between $22.00 and $23.50 per hour, plus benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hotel front desk or guest services preferred.
• Strong communication and basic computer/cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout their stay.
• Process arrivals, departures, reservations, payments, and guest requests accurately.
• Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and special requests.
• Resolve routine guest issues and elevate concerns to management when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate guest information, records, and shift documentation.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and other hotel departments.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and relevant guest opportunities.
• Follow cash-handling, security, privacy, and hotel operating procedures.
• Monitor the lobby and front desk area to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
• Complete assigned shift responsibilities and maintain effective communication during handoffs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As Night Auditor, you'll play an important role in supporting hotel operations, delivering exceptional service, and helping our team achieve its operational and business goals.

Job Purpose

The Front Office position is responsible for delivering welcoming, efficient, and professional service throughout the guest arrival, stay, and departure experience. This position assists guests with requests, reservations, payments, information, and service recovery while supporting smooth daily hotel operations.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout their stay.

• Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to remain professional and composed while resolving guest concerns.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the front office area.

• Use computers, phones, tablets, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
