Position: Night Auditor

Function: Responsible for posting and balancing room, restaurant, and bar guest folio charges. Maintain files and reset systems for next day operations. Greet and assist late guest arrivals and departures by handling check-ins and check-outs while providing prompt and courteous service. Handle guest requests, reservations, and communications to ensure complete guest satisfaction during the PM shift.
Responsibilities:
- Run audit reports/journals from Front Office Systems.
- Prepare daily revenue reports by auditing system accounts and journals to breakdown revenue for food and beverage operations.
- Make corrections and adjustments; handle all computer problems that occur throughout shift.
- Input revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and Food & Beverage Operations Summary.
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly; maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
- Ensure all reports and backup vouchers are complete and properly filed.
- Send necessary copies of documents and reports to relevant departments (A/R, A/P, Payroll).
- Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and handle guest concerns tactfully.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes.
- Complete guest registration and verify credit card authorizations.
- Handle cash accurately and balance the house bank.
- Assign rooms based on guest preferences and availability.
- Drive revenue management strategies.
- Respond to guest inquiries about hotel facilities and services, including reservations and directions.
- Recommend local restaurants, attractions, and transportation options.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front desk, lobby, and back office areas.
- Follow up on guest check-ins, complaints, and requests.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Understand emergency procedures and participate in the hotel safety committee.
- Maintain quality standards for property, service, and staff.
- Work flexible shifts to support hotel operations.
- Ensure hotel security for guests, staff, and assets.
- Support policies and procedures aligned with Winston Hospitality and the hotel’s brand standards.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable.
- Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in using a 10-key calculator by touch.
- Exceptional computer skills, especially in hotel management software.
