Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Orlando is seeking a Night Auditor to perform night audit operations, maintain financial controls, and ensure compliance with hotel standards. You will coordinate with Security and Housekeeping to deliver quality service to guests.

Responsibilities include preparing daily revenue reports, running front office system audits, posting revenue/expenses, balancing accounts, and ensuring attendance. Opera experience and strong math and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Opera experience preferred.
• Hotel experience required.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate 10-key calculations.
• Ability to handle guest and associate concerns in a friendly, positive manner.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily revenue reports by auditing POS tapes/journals for revenue, covers, tips, and settlements.
• Run audit reports from the front office system, POS, and computers.
• Make corrections and adjustments and address system problems during the shift.
• Enter revenue, expenses, and allowances in the front office system to generate daily reports.
• Balance revenue and settlements nightly and reset the system for the next day.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

Perform the night audit operations to ensure the maintenance of financial controls, and compliance with hotel standards. Coordinate with other departments (i.e. Security, Housekeeping) to ensure quality service is provided to all guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
• Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service and the computer.
• Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
• Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
• Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
