Job summary

Olympia Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor for the overnight shift to ensure accurate guest accounts, smooth check-in/check-out processes, and reliable financial reporting. You will audit daily revenue, assist guests with inquiries, and support other hotel operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
• Process reservations and adjust guest accounts as needed.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports and financial statements.
• Audit and reconcile revenue, room charges, and tax lines.
• Maintain accuracy in credit card processing and postings.
• Monitor and communicate any policy deviations to management.
• Respond to governmental inquiries and requests for information.
• Cross-train in other hotel accounting or front-office tasks.

This is an overnight shift with hours ranging from 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
• Must be willing to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas.
• Perform guest services functions as required (i.e. check guests in/out, take reservations, we-up calls, etc.).
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports as required (i.e., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports, etc.) according to hotel standards.
• Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
• Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
• Prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required.
• Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
• Respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt.

Skills Required

• Provide high level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure, proficiency in keyboarding and computer technology, i.e. e-mail, MS Word, Excel, & other hotel related systems, aptitude with numbers/data analysis.

Experience / Education

• Knowledge/experience of accounting principles; prior customer service/hospitality experience is preferred; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
