Responsibilities

• Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
• Audit and balance reports from the day shifts.
• Process guest charges, vouchers, and credit card vouchers.
• Post charges to guest accounts not yet posted or incurred on night shift.
• Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
• Ensure charges are assigned to correct departments.
• Verify all front desk transactions with supporting documents.
• Verify account postings, balances, and room rates.
• Monitor coupons, discounts, and other promotions.
• Operate as front desk agent for check-in/check-out procedures.
• Track room revenue and occupancy statistics.
• Perform housekeeping of the property and maintain guest readiness.
• Provide regular and reliable attendance.

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:

The Night Auditors' responsibilities are to check front office accounting records for accuracy and, daily, summarize and compile information for the resort's financial records. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front-office operating statistics.

• Seasonal roles are not eligible for health benefits
• Seasonal roles are eligible for sick time and holiday pay.

• Understands the various tasks that go into running a hotel in the overnight hours

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

• Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts
• Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
• Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers
• Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift
• Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts
• Checks to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments
• To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated into the PMS system
• Verifies all account postings and balances
• Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts
• Monitors the current status of coupons, discounts, and other promotional programs
• Canto functions as a front desk agent, especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures
• Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics
• Understands and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures
• Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Provides regular and reliable attendance

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:

You will report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• High school diploma/GED required
• 2+ years' experience in customer service or hospitality
• Excellent communication and math skills

WHAT IT TAKES (PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone; and reach with hands and arms, and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies to 20 pounds.
