Job Description
- Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to guests throughout the overnight shift.
- Complete the nightly audit accurately andin accordance withFairmont standards and established procedures.
- Reconcile daily hotel transactions, including room charges, payments, adjustments, and departmental revenues.
- Verify and balance Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other hotel revenue transactions.
- Review and reconcile guest and house accounts, ensuring discrepancies areidentifiedand resolved promptly.
- Process and post room charges, payments, adjustments, and other financial transactions accurately.
- Verify cash drawers and complete requiredcash-handlingand banking procedures.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports asrequired.
- Review and investigate discrepanciesidentifiedduring the nightly audit and communicate unresolved issues toappropriate leadership.
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and supported.
- Monitor andmaintainaccurateguest account information.
- Process overnight arrivals, departures, room changes, and guest requests asrequired.
- Assistguests with check-in, check-out, billing inquiries, and other Front Office needs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns andassistwith service recovery.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel amenities, restaurants, outlets, events, services, and local attractions.
- Monitor hotel activity during overnight hours and communicate operational or security concerns to the Manager on Duty andappropriate departments.
- Support emergency procedures and follow all hotel safety and security protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the Front Office, Royal Service, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments to ensure operational continuity.
- Complete the overnight pass-on and communicate relevant information to the incoming Front Office team.
- Maintainaccuraterecords, reports, and documentationin accordance withhotel procedures.
- Follow all Fairmont New Orleans policies, procedures, and financial controls.
- Maintain confidentiality when handlingguest,colleague, and financial information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Front Office environment.
- Performadditionalduties as assigned.
Qualifications
- PreviousFront Office, Night Auditor, Guest Services, or hotel operations experience preferred.
- Previousexperience in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment preferred.
- Previousaccounting, cash handling, or financial reconciliation experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel accounting procedures.
- Previousexperience with a Property Management System, preferably OPERA Cloud.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, preferred.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns and overnight operational issues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operationallyrequired.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
