Job Summary:
- Responsible for balancing daily revenue and expenses for the hotel.
- Provide exceptional guest service in a professional and friendly manner.
- May serve as manager-on-duty during the shift.
Job Tasks / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Post charges and transactions to guest accounts.
- Maintain and review charges, deposits, and transfers to master accounts.
- Investigate and correct out-of-balance situations.
- Prepare daily revenue reports and statistics for department heads and headquarters.
- Complete end-of-day procedures and prepare the system for the next day.
- Serve as night manager-on-duty if instructed and complete MOD reports.
- Assist guests with check-in/check-out and inquiries about rooms and hotel amenities.
- Handle guest complaints using the Guest Service Recovery method and involve supervisors if needed.
- Complete shift reports and make deposits according to procedures.
- Monitor security and safety issues and notify supervisors of threats.
- Keep work area organized and practice safe work habits.
- Perform other duties as needed to support teamwork and hotel operations.
Job Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, including clear speaking, proper grammar, and active listening.
- Ability to use various computer applications.
- Availability on weekends and holidays, possible overtime, and shift work.
Job Environment:
- Primarily indoors within hotel facilities.
- Standing for prolonged periods (up to 4 hours or more).
- Light physical activities such as lifting, stretching, bending, or squatting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a similar role or guest service agent experience combined with relief night audit experience.
