At Residence Inn Lexington South / Hamburg Place, we are looking for an energetic night person to join our guest service team as a Night Auditor.

Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering calls, and maintaining Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data to keep records complete, performing routine accounting duties, and verifying business transactions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, promotions, and daily occupancy.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash banks and secure at all times.
• Read and record information in the log book daily.
• Process payments, currency exchanges, adjustments, rebates, and credits.
• Operate and secure the Property Management System (PMS).
• Verify and correct rate reports and audit charges for banquet, food & beverage, and rooms.
• Reconcile telephone and miscellaneous accounts.
• Backup system files and verify all checks are closed in POS system.
• Print and distribute end-of-day reports, run daily reports, and backup reports.
• Ensure all work is completed according to the Night Audit checklist.
• Restock printers, deposit payments, and communicate with the incoming supervisor.
• Attend departmental meetings and training as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hotel role.
• Ability to work overnight shift (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
