Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. The Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs such as check-ins/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

Key duties include:

1. Proactive thinking to ensure guest security and create a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
2. Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
3. Checking the front desk log for issues or special requests.
4. Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
5. Processing guest registrations and payments.
6. Preparing express checkout folios.
7. Maintaining room status inventory.
8. Communicating shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other staff.
9. Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
10. Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by passing on pertinent information.
11. Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
12. Answering inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local directions.
13. Completing shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
14. Performing other duties as assigned by management.
