Pay ranges from $21 to $23/hr depending on experience. This is a part-time opportunity.

Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling all check-ins and check-outs, answering incoming calls, and upholding Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and working as a "Runner" for housekeeping needs during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to maintain financial records. The clerk will perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties related to business transactions, and ensure the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings recorded by other workers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, room types, rates, and availability.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Manage and secure cash banks.
  • Read and record information in the log book daily.
  • Process currency exchange, payments, adjustments, rebates, paid outs, and credits.
  • Operate and maintain security of the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Verify and correct the Room Rate Report.
  • Post and audit banquet charges, reconcile telephone calls, and miscellaneous accounts.
  • Backup computer system files.
  • Verify checks, close and log checks in the POS system.
  • Print and review end-of-day reports for Food & Beverage and Rooms.
  • Audit cashier and miscellaneous charges, correct discrepancies.
  • Verify package postings and input sales figures into PMS.
  • Run and distribute daily reports, close the day in the system.
  • Ensure all interfaces are operational.
  • Perform end-of-day procedures, restock printers, and deposit payments.
  • Review assignments, document maintenance needs, and attend meetings and training.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar hotel position.
  • Ability to work the overnight shift (11 pm - 7 am).
  • Basic computer skills required.
