Boston Harbor Hotel is seeking a Temporary Night Auditor Supervisor to balance revenue, settle accounts, and reset systems nightly while performing Guest Service Agent duties.

The role requires prior night audit or accounting experience, strong computer and Excel skills, and the ability to train others on the shift. Flexibility for varied hours, holidays, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous night audit/accounting experience or equivalent training.
  • Computer knowledge/Excel and arithmetic skills required.
  • FSD is a plus, required within 90 days of employment.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Balance accounts and conduct nightly audits.
  • Maintain records of room availability and guests' accounts, using computers.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports.
  • Supervise and train night auditor(s) on shift.
  • Audit and reconcile cashiers.
  • Resolve guest complaints after research and determine effective solutions.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and strive to improve them.
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards timely.
  • Input and update financial information into BRAINS network.
  • Check guests in/out and perform Guest Service Agent tasks.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to EarthView.
  • Practice safe work habits and wear protective equipment.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Create SMART action plans to remedy service deficiencies.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports.
  • Supervise and train any night auditor working same shift.
  • Audit and reconcile cashiers.
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
  • Input and update financial information into BRAINS network.
  • Check guests/in out and perform Guest Service Agents tasks.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies.
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous night audit/accounting experience or equivalent training required.

Work Environment and Context
  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, and weekends.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking , lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching.
