Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. seeks a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to deliver overnight specialty care for the Transplant Surgery service at Froedtert and MCW in Milwaukee, WI.

The APP will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage kidney/pancreas and liver transplant patients, covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative transitions, while contributing to education and quality initiatives within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• DEA eligibility required.
• APRN or PA licensure and national certification as applicable.
• Inpatient/ICU experience preferred.
• Experience in transplant surgery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nocturnist specialty care for the Transplant Surgery service.
• Manage transplant patient population across pre-, peri-, and post-operative care.
• Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Contribute to quality, safety, research, and teaching initiatives.
