Job summary

University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Emergency Medicine and Adult Urgent Care teams, working across Main ED, Pediatric ED, Adult Urgent Care, and SRMC. This high-acuity setting offers clinical variety, professional growth, and collaboration with ER physicians, residents, students, and APP colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo required
• Program graduate with appropriate advanced practice training
• Prescriptive authority and board certification as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans within APP scope
• Perform history, physicals and procedures
• Complete orders, rounds, consultations, and discharge summaries
• Provide education to patients and families about care and treatment
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with health care team
• Engage in teaching, research, and professional development
• Identify safety concerns and ensure adherence to policies
