Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a social services field or RN qualification, with 1+ years in healthcare admissions and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services field preferred or RN preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in a healthcare admissions role preferred.
• One or more years’ supervisory/lead in a healthcare admissions setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and perform duties to ensure patient safety and department efficiency.
• Prioritize admissions based on patient needs and facility capacity.
• Coordinate with business office for financial counseling when appropriate.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and foster teamwork.
• Ensure EMTALA logs are completed for each patient seen by admissions.
• Participate in staff training as a preceptor for new admissions staff.
• Address shift challenges with Admissions Director or AOC.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
