Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift position in Louisiana. Candidate must hold an active RN license (Compact or LA) and current BLS/NRP certifications, with 2+ years NICU experience for travelers or 3+ years for first-time travelers.

Strong IV, med administration, and neonatal care skills are required. The role involves Level III-IV NICU care, 1:3 patient ratio, 4x12 hours (or 3x12s) night shifts, and on-site coverage with potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years NICU experience required for travelers.
• 3+ years NICU experience required for first-time travelers.
• Active RN license (Compact or LA) in hand at submission.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration.
• Knowledge of neonatal meds and doses.
• Experience with APGAR scoring and developmental care.
• Must have 65+ miles residency from facility address.

Responsibilities

• Care for neonates in Level III-IV NICU (1:3 nurse–patient ratio).
• Night shift 4x12 hours; potential 3x12s.
• Float to mother/baby and pediatrics units as needed.
• Must align with emergency response and on-site coverage.
• Epic EMR documentation and patient/family teaching.
