1100 Endeavor Health Clinical Operations is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the NICU in Evanston, IL, per diem with a flat hourly pay rate. The role focuses on feeding and swallowing assessments for preterm and medically fragile infants, with collaborative care across disciplines and caregiver education.

The position requires an MS in Speech Pathology, IL licensure, BLS/CPR, and at least two years of NICU experience. VSS experience is preferred.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in IL required.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Minimum two years of independent NICU experience providing feeding services to preterm or medically complex infants.
• Video Swallowing Study (VSS) experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• Assess oral feeding readiness, feeding and swallowing function, and communication needs for preterm and medically fragile infants.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Nursing and Lactation Consultants to implement feeding and swallowing plans.
• Provide interventions to support safe and efficient oral feeding, caregiver-infant bonding and prelinguistic communication.
• Educate caregivers on feeding cues, readiness, and strategies to promote bonding and communication.
• Provide resources and referrals for follow-up outpatient therapy or early intervention services.
