Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide Respiratory Care services under physician orders and departmental policies. The role involves patient assessment, therapy delivery, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas sampling.

We value teamwork and high quality care. Eligible candidates should have an active RT license, BLS/ACLS, and 5+ years of verifiable experience; neonatal transport experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Preferred experience in neonatal transport
• 5 years of verifiable experience
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS, NRP, Blood Gas Technologist certified within 90 days.
• NICU experience, 3 years or more preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; assesses possible side effects.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments; monitors effects.
• Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators and airway management.
• Performs arterial punctures for blood gas analysis.
