Job summary

Virtua Health seeks an experienced Level 3 NICU RN to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice. You will coordinate care with the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and uphold high professional ethics. Part-time, day shift - 12 hours, 18 total weekly hours at Voorhees location.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NJ RN License.
• 18: Must have Level 3 NICU experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a care team.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family regarding disease process, care needs and safety.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles.
• Participates in orientation and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains competencies at the departmental level.
