Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU, night shifts, to care for critically ill newborns in partnership with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will administer medications, monitor vital signs, support respiratory care, coordinate discharge planning, and counsel families. Requires ADN/BSN, TN RN license, 2+ years NICU experience, and current BLS; ACLS/NRP/CPI/STABLE within 90 days, plus PALS and NRR.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN Degree Program.
• 2 years minimum NICU experience.
• Current Tennessee RN license to practice.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS, NRP, CPI and STABLE within 90 days of hire.
• PALS and NRR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized systems.
• Assist discharge planning with the healthcare team.
