Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Frisco, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a part-time shift (24 hours) from 7:00pm to 7:00am. The role delivers care using the Nursing Process and supports a high-quality neonatal program in a Magnet-designated facility.

Requirements include nursing licensure (Diploma/Associate; BSN preferred), NICU experience, and certifications (BCLS, NRP, NRPA, CPI) with training within specified timelines.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • One-year nursing experience or RN residency completion required.
  • Two years NICU experience strongly preferred.
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent care and maintained quarterly.
  • NRP certification within 90 days required.
  • NRPA certification within 90 days required.
  • CPI training within 90 days required and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
  • Assesses the patient.
  • Plans the care of the patient.
  • Intervenes as appropriate.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
  • Initiates information for patients and significant others.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
