Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Level II NICU in Connecticut to provide direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, and medication administration on a 12-hour shift pattern with alternating weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of NICU experience, a CT RN license, and an Associates degree in nursing (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• Connecticut RN license (CT) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience with nursing process and patient education desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop and modify care plans and document outcomes.
• Administer medications following five rights and monitor responses.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing care delivery and delegation.
• Promote patient safety and accurate hand-offs at shift changes.
• Provide teaching to patient and family; evaluate understanding.
