Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Staff RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care on a Level IV NICU, including patient education and discharge planning, and collaborate with the medical team.

The unit handles high-risk deliveries and premature infants; night shifts offer a $5.00/hour differential and a 0.90 FTE schedule. A $10,000 sign-on is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.
• New hires must enroll in a BSN degree program within one year and complete it within four years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for designated patients.
• Develop written nursing care plans including patient education and discharge planning.
• Document care and patient progress; work with medical staff on patient care decisions.
