Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Registered Nurse in the NICU to assume nursing care for a group of patients within a designated time frame. The RN delivers care via the nursing process in collaboration with the health-care team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, patient safety, discharge planning, and family education, with emphasis on high-quality, compassionate care in a Level I trauma setting. Strong communication is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN License for NYS and BLS certification.
• NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• NICU experience 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to NICU patients using the nursing process.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy per policy.
• Documents assessments, progress, and discharge planning.
• Ensures patient safety and quality, communicates with health team.
• Establishes care priorities and collaborates with staff and families.
