Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Registered Nurse in the NICU with 3–5 years of NICU experience to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The RN will provide nursing care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve patient outcomes.

You will document assessments, ensure patient safety, and contribute to discharge planning while adhering to hospital policies. Excellent communication and clinical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program; NY RN license and BLS certification.
• BSN degree preferred.
• NICU experience in 3–5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients using the nursing process in collaboration with the health team.
• Documents patient assessment and progress toward goals accurately and timely.
• Promotes patient safety and quality, adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team and escalates situations appropriately.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy per policy, including blood administration.
• Sets priorities for patient care and coordinates responsibilities independently or with delegation.
• Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-specific nursing care.
