Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking an NICU Registered Nurse to provide skilled newborn care, perform assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for critically ill infants.

You will complete admissions, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications per policy, and support families with education on homecare and breastfeeding in coordination with the Lactation Department.

Qualifications

• RN required with current license in good standing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission assessments of newborns.
• Develop and revise plans of care; evaluate effectiveness of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy.
• Assist transport teams in stabilization and transfer of infants.
• Provide family education on homecare, feeding, adoption and support groups.
