Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized newborn care and support high-risk patients.

The RN will coordinate care with physicians and the nursing team, ensuring quality outcomes while leading peers and delegating tasks as needed. Licensure, BLS, NRP, and NICU experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire and before direct patient care.
• NRP Certification or ARC equivalent.
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.
• Preferred Neonatal Nursing certification.

Responsibilities

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve outcomes.
• Directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager.
