Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Nursing Team at this Riverside, CA location. You will provide preventative and supportive intra-operative care, assess patients on admission and as their condition evolves, and advocate for patients and families as part of the Plan of Care.

The ideal candidate has a California RN license, NICU experience, and relevant certifications such as BCLS, NRP, and STABLE.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year of recent NICU experience.
• National RN Certification preferred.
• BCLS required.
• NRP required.
• STABLE certification (within one year of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards
• Serving as an advocate for patient/family/SO regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care
• Developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress
• Demonstrating knowledge of disease processes, treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity and patient needs
• Reviewing physician orders and transcribes to MAR, initiating STAT orders
• Assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating transfer or discharge planning needs with the health care team and family/SO
