Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team. You will provide preventive and supportive intra-operative care tailored to each patient’s needs and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform thorough assessments, plan and adjust care, and communicate clearly with nurses, physicians, and other departments to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse (R.N.) license
• Current BLS & NRP
• A minimum of 1-year recent experience in specialty

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age and condition
• Head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn with reassessments per policy
• Formulate and revise an individualized plan of care and evaluate daily effectiveness
• Communicate clearly with charge nurse, coworkers and physicians
• Consult other departments for an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs
• Coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary
• Assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby area
• Engage patient/family in the plan of care
• Maintain good working relationships within and outside the department
• Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family
