Job summary
Riverside Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist for the NICU/Peds in Riverside, CA. The CNS mentors staff, supports evidence-based practice, and collaborates with the OB Educator for Maternal Newborn and Labor and Delivery.
You will ensure orientation, address clinical issues with leaders, and promote professional development through credentialing and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Current California RN license.
- Current California CNS certification.
- Current BCLS.
- BSN degree.
- MSN degree.
- Clinical specialty training in specified area.
- Minimum 5 years acute care experience.
- Successful CNS in NICU experience.
- Experience developing clinical paths.
Responsibilities
- Ensure new nursing staff receive effective clinical orientation.
- Problem-solve clinical issues with managers and staff.
- Collaborate with Education Department on continuing education needs.
- Promote professional development and certification through mentoring and curricula implementation.
- Provide consultation and education to students, nurses and other health care providers.
- May provide direct care with a caseload requiring continuum management.
