Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin NICU is seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) for the 3rd shift in our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This 10-bed unit cares for premature and critically ill newborns, emphasizing family-centered care and safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care plan updates, team communication, and supervision of LPNs/CNAs. Licensure in Kentucky and required certifications must be maintained per policy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permit required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Glucometer Training and Aegis Training required or within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents patient assessments and updates care plans.
• Provides patient care per hospital policies and physician orders.
• Communicates with healthcare team to support quality patient care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and proper delegation in routine and emergency situations.
• Supervises LPNs, CNAs, Techs, and students as needed.
