Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is seeking a NICU nurse for a 13-week temporary assignment. Shifts are 12 hours, full-time 36 hours per week, with weekends and holidays required as per unit needs. Not benefit eligible. Prior Meditech and EPIC experience preferred; BLS/NRP/STABLE required before start.

The role involves individualized, goal‑directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles, reporting to the Nurse Manager, with potential extension based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing required.
• BLS/NRP/STABLE required prior to start.
• Pediatric/NICU nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data and formulates nursing diagnoses.
• Develops and follows a plan of care for the child and family.
• Implements and coordinates care with focus on safety and outcomes.
