Job summary

Dolly Parton Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric ICU nurse for a 13-week assignment in Knoxville, TN. This temporary role involves 36 hours per week with day and night shifts; overtime and shift differentials may apply. BLS/PALS required before start; compact license; at least 2 years of ICU experience with PICU preferred.

Must have a nursing license in Tennessee and a BSN or ADN. Prior Dolly employee must be separated for 1 year to be eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelors or Associates of Nursing Required.
• Degree: Nursing.
• Nursing Licensure required in State of Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the healthcare needs of patients and formulates nursing diagnoses.
• Develops and follows a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Identifies expected outcomes for the plan of care individualized to the child, family, and situation.
• Implements and coordinates the delivery of care while promoting health and a safe environment.
• Evaluates progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Collaborates with the family in the conduct of nursing practice and makes ethical decisions.
