Job summary

As a NICU RN, you will care for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, from critical care to rehabilitation, requiring strong infant care expertise and a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent experience in the NICU or primary area of care.
• Active nursing license or appropriate accreditation in one US state.
• Additional requirements and certifications may be requested by the facility/unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to sick or premature newborns in the NICU.
• Assist with life-saving measures, rehabilitation and nutrition as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support infant health and family education.

Job description

As a NICU RN, you'll work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide care for newborns that are either sick or premature. NICU RNs specialize in medical care for newborns at a variety of levels, from intensive, life-saving measures to rehabilitation and nourishment, so you must be well-versed in infant care.

Basic travel nursing requirements

• 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
• Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
• Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
• An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
