Job summary

Children’s Minnesota seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care, including neonatal support, across our hospital campuses in the Twin Cities area. The role requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with nurses and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

Applicants must be a Minnesota-licensed Respiratory Therapist with NBRC CRT; RRT within 3 months and BLS are required, with PALS/NRP encouraged within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• RRT credential within 3 months in the role. RRT must be maintained in active status.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS, NRP certified or within 6 months in the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific respiratory care duties under the supervision of the medical director.
• Adapt to the particular area of duty assignment and perform procedures per policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and related sciences.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, families and staff.
