Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in New York seeks an experienced NICU nurse to join a fourteen-bed level III unit. Eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus; weekend options may yield higher pay.

The unit emphasizes family-centered care, a Neonatal Resuscitation oriented orientation, and a strong interdisciplinary team. Requirements include NY RN licensure and a BSN preferred; at least 1 year NICU experience is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New York State.
• BSN degree preferred per NYS requirements.
• Minimum 1 year NICU experience required.
• Specialty credentialing/education in clinical practice preferred.
• Maintain all licensures and certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the care team to deliver family‑centered care, education, and goal setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Attend and support newborn care during high-risk deliveries.
• Work with OB providers, CNMs, RNs, lactation consultants, social workers, and spiritual care.
• Monitor quality metrics and ensure accurate documentation in the chart.
• Serve as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant, and navigator.
