Mount Sinai Medical Center seeks an experienced Neonatal ICU nurse for night shifts (7p-7a) on the Maternal Child unit. The role involves caring for neonates, administering medications, and performing resuscitation and assessments per NICU standards.

The incumbent will monitor vital signs, oversee IV therapy and contribute to safety and family-centered care. Florida RN licensure, BLS CPR, and NRP alignment are required or pursued within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Current FL Nursing License and BLS CPR required.
• NRP certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsabilités

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration for neonates based on diagnosis, age and weight.
• Ability to assess the neonate at delivery and perform neonatal resuscitation.
• Perform head to toe assessment on neonates and reassessments per policy.
• Monitor hemodynamic status of neonates and interpret findings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and treat dysrhythmias per NICU protocols.
• IV therapy in neonates and fluid/electrolyte management.
• Monitor respiratory status and maintain patent airway.
• Coordinate and supervise neonatal care within the team.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the NICU/Nursery.
• Interact professionally with neonate and family; involve family in care plan.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infant security policies.
