Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System's Methodist Women's Hospital in Elkhorn, NE is seeking an experienced NICU RN for 12-hour shifts (6:45am–7:15pm) with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, NICU preferred; new graduates may be considered. Responsibilities include comprehensive neonatal care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing patient and family education.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited college of nursing required OR ADN with plan to obtain within 5 years of hire.
• Two years NICU experience preferred.
• Current Nebraska RN license or compact multi-state license; BLS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care following established plan.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and update care plans.
• Collaborate with providers and disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain professional behavior and effective communication with team, patients and families.
• Complete SBAR handoffs and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
