The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent and licensure in Mississippi (or eligibility). Pre-employment drug screening is required, and the position entails oversight of pharmacy staff and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy; experience cannot be substituted for educational requirement.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications; assesses the identity, strength, and purity of medications.
• Advises physicians and other health practitioners on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.
• Maintains records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventories, and control records; maintains methods and manner of storage and recordkeeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals.
• Supervises, trains, monitors, and coordinates the activities of pharmacy technicians.
• Oversees the acquisition and disbursement of drugs and medications to various locations.
• Plans, implements, and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.
