Job summary

Dayton Children's Main Campus is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time role in the NICU scheduling environment. The PCA assists the nurse with patient care activities, communicates clearly, reports patient information, and upholds confidentiality and safety standards across a dynamic clinical setting.

The position requires a HSD/GED, PCA training/experience or enrollment in a health-related program, and prefers 1-2 years of STNA hospital experience.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program is required.
• 1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs, intake and output, assists patients with activities of daily living, and provides safe transportation and environment for patients.
• Promotes a patient and family experience oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet census and needs of all customers.
• Cross trained to support the clinical and clerical sides of the business.
